I am going to share with you two ways to get more traffic to your site. Free - or at slight cost! But the good news is, for free strategy, you do not have to create many articles.  One will do just fine!

First we go with FREE! It is the forum marketing but with a twist!

O.k. most people think that forum marketing is about posting as many posts that are no quality posts around the forum so your get more signature exposure!

But you can do something a little different - work less but smarter

Write one post - NEW tread! With catchy title! You can use the twitter keys - here is the link - http://thenextweb.com/TwitterKeys/keys.php - example used in this tread!

The new tread has to be of great value. For example: few months back I read one on the tutorial how to sign up for CPA network. I had many problems with signing up until I’ve read that tread. That is how valuable the tread has to be!

Here are the results: This has done two things for the person who posted the tread! First he got excellent reputation! He had over 10,000 views on his tread. Over 172 comments! It is now a sticky tread! And it is a 5 star tread!

You see, it is a cost of spending couple of hours writing a really good valuable article! And getting 10,000 visitors or more! This was done in Internet Marketing Niche, but the value will work in any niche. How about weight loss? “7 Day Plan - FULL Body Workout” or something like that!

That is for the free method!

The paid method and we are going to use an example to promote some affiliate products.

This will not work in any forum because not every forum has this option. For example in Warrior Forum there are 2 paid section. One is WSO and Classified Ad! Each cost $20 per tread. Many people visit the WSO - stands for Warrior Special Offer!

Warrior special offer has to be used for something you have created yourself. It can be offered for free offer to build your list, or if paid offer,  at lower price than the regular sales price you have on the product. Let’s say, you have a free course on getting article ranked on the 1st page of Google in 5 Days or Less! Give it away for free. And you will get sign ups - later on you can promote something relevant such as automatic article submitter.  Tool to get backlinks etc.

THE PROBLEM! Sorry, I have to say. WSO is great, it will bring you many visitors, but it does not last forever! Once your page drops of the 1st page your traffic will stop. You cannot bump again, until your page drops of the 3rd page, and when you do bump your tread, you have to pay $20 again!

That is why I like Classified Ads better. I use both, but prefer classified ads. Because in classified ads, your tread stays longer on the first page. And I have less cost, more subscribers or sales. Oh and in the classified ads, it does not have to be your own product, it can be any product.  But of course, the higher conversion is if the product is cheaper/offered at discount!

I think the WSO, and the WCF should be used for list building.  Because if you are paying for traffic, you might as well capture the lead.
